2009 Emiliana ‘Novas’ Limited Selection Chardonnay 칠레와인 카사블랑카 샤도네
Pleasant citrus notes and minerality but the bouquet lacks engagement and intensity. Bright and zesty entry with a lot of high angle attack spritz , lemonade-like freshness, opening to canned peaches and fleshy soft grapefruit. There were bubbles in the glass, but the wine was flat through the mid palate. Some juiciness. Finish is a short and simple but there’s refreshing white pepper and young fleshy grapefruit. A light touch of oak throughout. It could definitely do with more structure and depth but this is a light and simple wine that is well balanced and performs at the price point. Good aromatics. At the right price: 30,000 won retail. Paired with home-made curry chicken drumsticks.
